Some would label listening to a French pop star as being pretentious, but at the end of the day, it’s being open minded to continental culture and experimenting with different styles and influences that led to the whole Mod movement being born in the first place.Īnd let’s face it looking at the guy and listening to his music, it’s almost irritatingly impossible to deny how incredibly cool he is.Īgain, not willing to rest on his laurels as a global icon with his take on French psychedelic/garage rock, he decided to become a film star. And my personal favourites, 'Le Responsable’ and 'Et Moi, Et Moi, Et Moi’ would be a welcome soundtrack on any Mod inhabited dance-floor.
